The Neverwinter Jubilee is always an event not to be missed, for the prizes alone. The events are fairly fun, and more varied then NW events tend to be, but the prizes are where its at. This year takes that to 11. Get thee to Jubilee. Check out the official post and our entry from last year that explains much of whats going on. Then I'll break it down a bit with our own explanation and whats new after the break. Cryptic - Protector's Jubilee 2018! F-S - Protector's Jubilee post from 2017

So when a player joins our guild its often their only character. Inevitably, one day the question will be asked "how do I make more AD?". So we direct them to our post found here. One of the key recommendations we make is that they use their empty character slots and make more characters right away to increase their Ad earning power. Going forward this will no longer be a valid strategy. You can read more about the changes on the forum here.
Caps are being implemented to AD earning potential for entire accounts instead of per character. So good news is: no more grinding AD with all your alts...bad news is: no more grinding AD. -Daily rough Astral Diamonds refining cap is going from 36,000 per character per day to 100,000 per day for your ENTIRE ACCOUNT. -Only first dungeon run of day will net any meaningful AD. This is also PER ACCOUNT, down from per character. Recommendations at this point is don't waste AD/Zen on buying any new character slots unless you really just wanna try out a new class or need the extra storage. Also, grind your AD on the alts you do have while you can. This is an overview of ways to find more DPS for your character that should be generally applicable. There are many guides and builds published for specific classes that outline the exact powers to use and specific formulas for each. This is not that. The aim is to give you an overview of what to check for on your character to balance stats and increase DPS. We've been regularly doing Tong for a while now with our in guild groups. Many many combinations have been tried, as well as item levels from 11-17k in many cases. So a lot of the possible scenarios have been covered and can be directly compared. While not a step-by-step guide I wanted to lay out some tips on item level that we've found help in this dungeon that for Mod 12-13 is so central to everything we do. Equipment (aka “eq” or “gear”)
Once a player hits level 70 in my guild, they are usually quickly handed a set of Chult Weapons and a set of League's Elite gear, as it can be crafted by those that have acquired the recipes from Chult. The items can also be bought from the AH for relatively cheap. The ease of acquiring these items leave them asking “ok, thanks for the gear, now how do I get better gear? What content should I be running?” Welcome to this years Simril! Its one of the main seasonal events that happens in Neverwinter. After having gone through a few, we've uncovered a few tips that may come in handy before the end. This won't be a comprehensive guide to everything, just an important tip on the gifts. So grab your presents and lets take a look! Our recent AD guide mentions alts as a possible income supplement. Among other things this will fill the details out a bit more. Neverwinter starts out by giving us all 2 free character slots. You can buy up to a total of 50 slots. Now thats a lot of character slots. That kind of army may be kind of rare nowadays, but somewhere in the middle it can be useful without taking up all your time, or involving you in any kind of banned activity. Post is updated for changes in mod 14. Also a small post with Mod 14 specifics. Our earlier post on AD is over a year old now! ..and its get a bit tired, and in need of an update given all the changes that have been introduced since then. ..and here it is! All in all a similar amount of daily AD per character is available. It does seem a bit harder to get to today than it was last time we covered this topic. Some of the old habits were downgraded and more hoops were added. There isn't 1 way to make quick AD with little work, and if you've found one take advantage of it as its lifetime will almost certainly be short. In the range of 40k AD per day on a level 70 character is doable by a casual player in a reasonable time. Greater sums are available depending on the amount of organization, time, and work you want to dedicate to it. The major change for mod 14 is in refining rough AD. Previously you could refine up to 36k rough AD per character / day. Now that has been changed to 100k RAD (rough ad) per day / account. The old post is left up for historical accuracy. The parts that no longer apply wont appear here. Theres a question that has come up lately more and more that should be addressed. Where do I find information on this game? Sometimes those of us that are deep into the game don't even recognize how obscure some of this information is. Hopefully this will help just a bit. 1. First of all, most of you reading this have a guild. Hopefully Forsaken-Souls. :p That really is your quickest and most up to date source for information. Even if those in the guild don't have the answer right away they can likely point you in the right direction, and there are several in our guild that will start up the search as soon as they discover a piece of trivia they don't already know. Feel free to ask questions. Helping out is fun for many of us, and makes the hours of work put into testing and exploring our characters seem a bit more worthwhile. We can also point you to resources that we have, like the links in our Discord server that might be useful for answering your questions. The recent announcements for changes to Neverwinter should serve as a warning and a lesson to other games as to how not to treat its playerbase. Now on the verge of mod 12b Neverwinter is facing another exodus of players the likes of which it hasn't seen for years. ..and its all been absolutely avoidable. |
