Oh yes there are many quests available from the stronghold. A few are given out each day in the SH courtyard. These quests are vital to SH growth, and should be worked on over time as it can't be rushed. Note: changes have occurred with mod 14. This post is edited to update those changes. Changes will be marked with a * asterisk. Early on your coffer may fill up with your shards as the structures are held up behind Influence and other things. Do not throw shards away! As the SH grows in level you will be able to use all that you've collected, and you'll be happy not to have wasted them. They are a good source of guild marks which can be used to make a lot of AD. Read on to see a list of the quests and the rewards they offer: The quests that offer Labor vouchers as a reward aren't needed as often. Labor and labor vouchers are very cheap when it comes to filling the coffer, and there are many sources available. Do these as they are convenient, but don't be surprised if the labor vouchers start keeping a permanent place in your inventory.
What do you want to be collecting? Heroic, adventurer's, and dungeoneer's shards are needed across all strongholds. Conqueror's shards, although they are a PVP reward, can be an important need for any PVE stronghold wanting to build the Barracks for the power boon. *Conqueror shards are no longer required for the Barracks after mod 14. These require doing 3 quests in the listed area (HE's for the SH one):
These require defeating the listed monsters in the SH: (These are shared with the party as mentioned earlier)
These require finishing the listed queue dungeon/skirmish:
Though you may still have the above quests they are no longer given out. Dungeoneer's shards are now earned by doing 1 each random skirmish, random dungeon, and random epic dungeon per day. This requires finishing a PVP domination or SH Siege: (note the SH siege is largely abandoned now) *siege is now quite popular, but no longer gives conqueror shards. Fight to the Finish - Conqueror's Shard of power *Influence related tasks: Marauders: A guild wide event that happens in the stronghold. You will see big announcements when it is activated. This is available every 2 hours, alternating with dragonflight times and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Each character can get a reward of 600 influence once a week. Stronghold Siege: This has been recently changed to provide a lot of worthwhile rewards from the weekly stronghold quest. The quest is 'Storming the Castle', and it can be obtained from the Master of Coin. This quest can be done weekly by each character and rewards 400 influence, a blood ruby, chult totems (which gets you progress in the chult campaign), and 4500 AD. Below are low priority quests:

Winter Festival only Refugee Recruitment - 2 minor vouchers Neverwinter Siege only Send aid to Neverwinter - 5 Defense Supplies Defense supplies can be used to purchase Stronghold Support Rewards from the siege vendor. These contain your choice of vouchers. Most often influence is the most valuable of these for the guild.
